The Grove Bowling Club – Open Day

NOT JUST FOR OLDIES – make it a Family Occasion – bring the youngsters.
In conjunction with the
National Bowls England “Bowl Up” Weekend

THE GROVE BOWLS CLUB OFFER AN INVITATION TO ALL AGES TO THEIR TRY BOWLING OPEN DAYS,
Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May 2024
from 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm approx.
Although the game often carries an image of the older generation, it is one of the most popular sports in the country and played by many youngsters, so this year The Grove is encouraging families, with their children, to give it a try. A mixed game, played by both sexes, nearly all find it great fun. It offers skill for all levels, team spirit, and real competitiveness in a friendly atmosphere with good social contact both on and off the green, and all enjoyed outside in the fresh air in the ever-hopeful British summer. The season last from end April to mid-September. What more could you possibly want!
The Grove also adds a charming traditional clubhouse and a welcoming bar, friendly occasions after matches and various social events throughout the year, such as the Annual Barbecue, Race Night, Quizzes and more. Situated in the middle of Tunbridge Wells, in the village area with own parking, the setting is lovely, a real a hidden gem which is unknown to many.
Just turn up with a pair of flat shoes (no heel please, but trainers are ideal), and we will supply the woods (bowls), and the coaching and get you underway. Bring the youngsters, especially teenagers, and let them try. They will love it. Added to this will be warm hospitality, a cup of tea or even stronger, some light refreshment and a tasty morsel.

If you can’t make the Open Days come up on a Friday evening in the season between 6.00 – 8.00 pm and you will still be very welcome.
