Join Ashford Archaeological and Historical Society to listen to Andrew Mayfield who is a well known community archaeologist. He will talk on ‘Searching for the old Mote House’. The present Mote House opposite the lake in Mote Park, was built c1800. For the last 4 years archaeologists have been hunting out the remains of the old Mote House.
