Ride and Stride

The event is called Ride and Stride and takes place all over Kent. The event also happens in other counties see https://ridestride.org/ The event is open to everyone, is county-wide, and participants raised a £152,674 in 2025. The event has been going since 1985.
The net magazine has very kindly listed our event before (in 2024), and I hope very much that you can do so again for this year?
Money raised by participants goes to The Friends of Kent Churches a charity that awards grants to help the upkeep and maintenance of Kent’s historic churches.

The Friends of Kent Churches sponsored Ride & Stride takes place on Saturday 12 September (10am-6pm). Join with 100’s of others all over Kent, raising money for the churches at the heart of our communities. Churchgoers and non-church goers are welcome. We encourage everyone to take part: walk, cycle or run. You choose your route. Participants are sponsored to visit as many buildings as they wish from a list of nearly 700 participating churches and chapels. Go alone, with family, friends, youth groups, or cycle groups and have an enjoyable day out. Or you can be sponsored to welcome people to your church.

All the money raised is shared equally between the church or chapel nominated by the participant, and the Friends of Kent Churches, to help fund their grants for repairs and facilities at churches and chapels in the county.
In 2025 £152,674 was raised by participants. Can you help us raise even more this year?
