Ashford Archaeological and Historical Society meeting will take place on Monday October 19th at 7.30 in the Quaker Meeting House,  Albert Road, Ashford when the speaker will be Melanie Gibson- Barton. She will speak about Elizabeth Barton known as the ‘Nun of Kent’. She was born at Aldington and had visions in the 1520s. These brought her to national,attention along with her opposition to the  divorce of Henry VIII which led to her death. All are welcome. Visitors £4.
