Andrew Spira: Music and Colour; Newton to Kandinsky Alexander Wallace Rimington published his Colour Music in 1912. In it, he describes an enormous ‘colour organ’ that he designed and made. He wasn’t the first to dream of ‘colour music’. This lecture will explore the journey of this fantastic idea from its origin in the Renaissance until the present day, lavishly illustrated with images and sound-bites.
