Joseph Rogers will explain the function of and reason for medieval tithe barns at Newington History Group’s public talk. He’ll also tell how surviving ones have been repurposed and will have copies of his book Tithe Barns available. The event is open to all (£4 at the door, members free) and includes free light refreshments and the opportunity for social chat. The group meets monthly (except Jan. and Aug) at 7.30pm at Newington Village Hall usually on the fourth Thursday. Membership is available for £18pa.
