Hidden History of Elmley Nature Reserve

Newington Village Hall ME9 7JJ Hear about the transformation of this once intensive arable farm on Sheppey into a wildlife haven. Simon Ginnaw, a warden at the reserve, will speak about its history – a story of restoration, stewardship and the careful balance between agriculture and conservation. The event is open to all (£4 at the door, members free) and includes free light refreshments and the opportunity for social chat. On 23rd April, Mark Lewis will talk about the Lighthouses and Lightvessels of Kent. The group meets monthly (except Jan. and Aug) at 7.30pm usually on the fourth Thursday.
