Heritage Open Day At St Mary’s Church In Higham
The ebb and flow of human industry and innovation around Higham over the centuries.Some aspects of Higham’s industrial heritage will be explored using photographic displays, reminiscence sessions and guest speakers. The focus will be on the history of The British Uralite factory, the railway, and the Thames and Medway Canal from their inception to their ultimate demise and their impact on the landscape and environment. Guided tours of St Mary’s will also be available. Sunday 11 September, 11 – 4pm. St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Higham, ME3 7LS. Tea and cake available to buy on the day.
