This important fundraiser for our five churches (Boughton Aluph, Chilham, Molash, Godmersham and Challock) and the two usual charities (The Pilgrims Hospices & Kent Air Ambulance) will take place on Monday 6 May. 2024 is the 40th anniversary of the walk and it has taken place every year since 1984, except for Foot and Mouth and Covid. The full walk encompassing all five churches is 16 miles and few complete that, but many choose a route starting from one church to finish at another. The churches provide car parking, excellent refreshments – and dog bowls! This year the walk is anticlockwise ie Boughton Aluph, Godmersham, Chilham, Molash, Challock. Start time is 10am and walkers should finish by 6pm. You can start at any of the churches. The suggested minimum donation per person is £5. It is usually a beautiful day out in the countryside with the woods full of bluebells, sometimes across land not usually publicly accessible. So put the date in your diary and let’s hope for an enjoyable day.
