Blue Jean is a British drama in which a school teacher’s struggles to keep her sexuality hidden after the arrival of a new student. Set in the era of Margaret Thatcher and the notorious section 28 of the Local Government Act, this 80s-set drama looking at homophobia during that decade and has a forthright, soap-operatic force that certainly makes its point.
