The next meeting of the Ashford Archaeological and Historical Society is on Monday 16th December at 7.30 in the Quaker Meeting House, Albert Road. This is the Christmas meeting and the speaker, Geoff Doel, will talk on ‘A Kentish Christmas.’ Geoff lectures on literature, medieval culture and traditional culture at the University of Christchurch, Canterbury and for other groups. He has also written books on Folklore in Kent and similar topics. The talk will be followed by Christmas refreshments. All are welcome. Visitors £4.
