80th D-Day Anniversary Lunch

The charity The Hill 112 Memorial Foundation will be holding a 80th Anniversary D Day Luncheon at the Crescent Turner Hotel, Whitstable on Thursday May 9th 2024.
It will be a Taittenger Reception with Canapés at 12.30pm, followed by Luncheon, We the famous David Starkey Historian talking about D Day and a special guest veteran Mr Ken Hay, who after landing in Normandy on 23rd June was captured by the SS on the 7th July whilst in a night patrol on Hill 112 along with 6 others. Trained to Poland over 6 days and nights and set to hard labour in a Polish coal mine. One January
1945 started out from Poland with many others on the Freedom March.
Entertainment will be by the The Swingtime Sweethearts and an Auction.
