Whitstable Town FC

How to Get Involved Coaching The most rewarding of all roles. No previous football experience is needed. The club will fund your training and our team of coach mentors are here to support your development. Just park your ego and be nice to the kids. Simple!
Team Administration If you are good with communications and embrace technology, then maybe you could run the team administration? Confirm the matches with opposition and referee, report the results of games back to the league. Tech makes it easy – the Pitchero App, email, WhatsApp, and Facebook groups allow you to pretty much run everything from your smartphone.
Respect Steward On match days the Respect Steward is there to help the club ensure that the Respect Programme is followed for the benefit of all participants. Use your own knowledge of your fellow spectators to help prevent abuse, foul language or other unacceptable behaviour. Welcome the opposition manager and referee and promote a friendly atmosphere.
Referees More and more people of all ages, genders, races and abilities are getting into refereeing. No previous football experience is needed. The club will fund your training and are here to support your development.
Referee Assistant The offside rule is introduced from 9v9 football and that is when referee assistants are required to run the line. Training is available for parents and best practice is to have more than one parent qualified to ensure there is always someone available at matches.
Join the Committee If you would like to volunteer to help run our club tell us some of the skills, you can put to use. We will find a suitable role for you to help the club. If sometimes we don’t follow up as quickly as we should, please don’t take that as a rejection! We value your contribution.
