The Freedom Centre

The Freedom Centre is a day care centre based in Sheerness that offers a variety of fun daily activities and care and support services to adults with both physical disabilities and moderate learning disabilities. Our daily activities include art classes three days a week with a professional art tutor, craft classes twice a week, swimming, Tai-Chi, an English and Math class and we also regularly have games such as bingo, quizzes and various card games and board games. We offer trips and meals out and have an annual respite break one week a year which are all very popular with our members. Throughout the year we host different themed days at the Centre, we have a yearly summer beach party, Halloween party and Christmas party, and we often have guests in to offer talks or to provide entertainment. We have a kitchen which provides wonderful hot meals, sandwiches, salads and puddings on a daily basis for a small cost. We are very lucky to have a dedicated team of specially trained staff and volunteers who are always on hand to offer any help and support that may be needed. The Freedom Centre prides itself on providing our members with a happy and uplifting atmosphere and we think of ourselves as a big family, and we are always happy to welcome new members into our family.
