Keep Talking Services

Keep Talking Services is a telephone befriending charity aimed at helping individuals in the local community suffering from loneliness, social isolation and often poor mental health. The telephone befriending calls are made by University student volunteers who are studying health and social care degrees. The friendly phone calls are made once a week and always with the same student befriender. We do this to combat loneliness and at the same time improve students communication skills. Keep Talking services accepts referrals for befriending by professionals only so if it is something you are interested in engaging with speak to your GP. We are always looking for volunteers to join the service and if you are not a student studying a health and social care degree we do have non-student volunteers who assist us with client feedback.
