Sir Edward Dering of Pluckley (1598-1644)

Ashford Archaeological and Historical Society meet for their first talk of the New Year on January 19th 2026 in the Quaker Meeting House, Albert Road, Ashford at 7.30pm. The subject is Sir Edward Dering of Pluckley (1598-1644) and the speaker is local historian Kaye Sowden. 
Dering was an English politician and served in the Cavalier Parliament. His influence is still evident today in the special Pluckley windows. All are welcome. Visitors £4.
