2.15pm-4.15pm Natural History: The Wonder Of Trees – Is That Just A Tree? With Martin Newcome, Naturalist and Ecologist from Aldington. What gives us oxygen, cleans our water, stores carbon, nurtures wildlife and offers the tools for shelter and warmth? The answer is, of course, a tree. This Talk will look at the folklore, properties, history, exploitation and other aspects of trees, from making coffee with acorns, to the uses of chestnut, and discovering the hidden world of the “wood wide web”.
