The Open Book Project offers free drop-in study sessions on a variety of subjects, including Creative Writing and the Extended Project Qualification. We provide both academic foundations and practical experience, helping students earn qualifications and even paving a path toward degree programs. Founded in 2002, Open Book is dedicated to breaking down barriers to higher education. We support those who’ve faced challenges such as addiction, mental health struggles, poverty, disability, and offending, helping them find new opportunities through learning. Over the years, we’ve helped over 200 students gain places on undergraduate courses, and currently support 500 active students of all levels study. We create a space for transformative learning—where students grow personally and intellectually, drawing on their life experiences to enhance their academic journey.
